Pregnancy yoga is an amazing tool to:
To increase the likelihood of having a functional, vaginal birth
Decrease your pain during labour.
Maintain safe exercise during pregnancy
Create balance in the ligaments and muscles surrounding the uterus & pelvis
Build strength and endurance for the marathon of labour & birth
Encourage baby into the optimal position
Develop and strengthen your connection with your breath, body, intuition and baby
Build a community of like-minded mamas going through the same stage of life
Pregnancy yoga is instructed by registered and practicing midwife, Amy Paulinich. Through NBC pregnancy yoga we interweave midwifery-led child birth education.
The Sunday yoga class has 6 different focuses we rotate through:
1.Body Balance
2. Connect with your intuition & create body awareness
3. Hip opening and glute strengthening
4. Labour preparation
5. Restorative
6. Pelvic Floor awareness and softening
NBC recommends at least 1 Pregnancy yoga class/wk.

As a midwife, I see women ‘TAP OUT’ of the natural birth they desire, for 3 main reasons:
By ‘tap out’ I mean leave their natural birth for an epidural, c-section, or instrumental birth that they DO NOT need.

Pregnancy Pilates is instructed by registered and practicing midwife, Amy Paulinich.
In our flow we:
Prepare the pelvic floor for birth
Build strength in the muscles required for birth and early motherhood
Improve posture relieving pregnancy discomforts
Tune into our breath.
Build a community of like-minded mamas going through the same stage of life
We all know exercise in pregnancy greatly enhances your birth experience, it can be very confusing to know safe exercise for pregnancy, lettleone exercise that will actually enhance the process of birth. Pregnancy pilates with our midwife Amy is the ultimate experience for your pregnancy exercise routine.
NBC recommends at least 1 Pregnancy pilates class per week to build the strength required for birth.
